With more than 28 years of experience in the Engineering disciplines, Mr. Leonard Harris provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple customer engagements from definition phase through implementation. He is quality focused and mission driven in order to support the customer’s requirements to the maximum extent. Mr. Harris’s extensive knowledge, experience, and earned customer’s respect in the technical, contracting, and logistic domains has positioned MJLM to receive additional contracts.
Mr. Harris joined the firm in 2003 during the inception phase of the Engineering Business Unit in Huntsville, Alabama. In the beginning, he functioned as the Project Lead in support of the company’s first Government contract: Support of Support (SOS) Test Program Set development. As a result of successful completion of this 18 month task, MJLM was postured with the technical credentials and qualifications to respond to other Federal Services Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
While working at MJLM, Mr. Harris has moved through the ranks from Project Lead, to Technical Director, to Sr Executive VP of Operations/Chief Technical Officer. As the Executive VP Chief/Technical Officer, he has worked to maximize the organization’s growth and profitability while leading and managing all company operations functions. This includes implementing potentially profitable short-and-long-term programs and processes to optimize work flow. Mr. Harris strongly believes that the key to success for any organization are its’ employees and the establishment of a strong infrastructure of policies and processes in place.
Mr. Harris is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1986. Prior to coming to MJLM, he worked for several Defense Contractors during his career providing support to Military Branches including the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps. A very diverse group of technical projects have been assigned to him that were completed within the budgetary constraints, on schedule, and quality deliverables as defined by the contract.
